We give AMWU members the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead at work and have a stronger voice in their workplace and industry. Our education and training programs cover everything from delegate training and leadership development to trade pathways, giving members opportunities to learn, connect and get involved.
Our programs are designed to give workers practical knowledge they can use on the job. Members can learn about their rights, how to represent and support their workmates, how to organise in the workplace and how to take an active role in their union. We also create opportunities for members to develop their leadership skills and build connections with workers across the country.
Our delegates are at the heart of the AMWU. They are the workers who stand up for their colleagues, represent their interests and help turn workplace concerns into collective action.
