Are you ready to lead?
The AMWU Women’s Leadership Development Program (WLDP) is a 12-month program for AMWU women members interested in developing their leadership skills and taking a more active role in their workplace, industry or union.
The program combines face-to-face learning, webinars, mentoring and project-based work. Participants will build their skills in leadership, strategic campaigning, planning and communication, while connecting and collaborating with other union women. Each participant will also be allocated a mentor to provide ongoing support throughout the program as they put their learning into practice through a project in their workplace.
Participants may be eligible for paid trade union training leave or other forms of leave to attend the in-person and online components of the program. Face-to-face training will be held in Sydney or Melbourne, with the AMWU covering travel and accommodation costs for participants.
